Mama, Daddy, and Me

Mama, Daddy, and Me

A Poem by Healing Star
"

My Relationship has only gotten stronger since they passed.

"
Can I find a Home
A Home for my Tears
Can I find a Home
I Been lookin' for Years

I Said,

Can I find a Home
A Home for my Tears
Can I find a Home
I Been lookin' for Years

My Mama Said
There's just too much Sorrow
In the World Today
My Mama Said
There's just too much Truth
That ain't Bein' Said

She said Boy
Why don't you Go
Out and spread the News
She said Boy
Why don't you Go
And Clear up those Blues

And She Said
Don't you think that it's Time
Yeah, She Said
It's time to go make a New Rhyme
There's to many of You
All caught up in your Heads

It's what's been keepin' ya in Bed
You got to damn lost in your Head

From a Heart that's got No
Tears Left in It
From a Heart that Grows
No more Love can Fit in It
From that Heart that Knows
Take it from there, from where you Sit

Can I find a Home
A Home for my Tears
Can I find a Home
I Been lookin' for Years

My Mama Said
There's just too much Sorrow
In the World Today
My Mama Said
There's just too much Truth
That ain't Bein' Said

I long to hold Her
My dear Mama
Who's on the other Side
My Mama
She crossed over the River
A few years Ago

And my Daddy
He left us a few years Before
Yeah, my Daddy
Did you ever see His Eyes, Open Doors
Oh, my Daddy
He is right Here in my Core

And I said Mama
Your Right, it's surely Time
Yeah, I said Mama
I'm Sorry, for All my Crimes
Oh, I said Mama
I hear your Voice like a Chime

And I said Daddy
You've always knew that it Was
Yeah, my Daddy
You know you'll always have my Trust
Oh, my Daddy
I did not Know, but you Knew what it Was

She said Boy
Why don't you Go
Out and spread the News
She said Boy
Why don't you Go
Clear up those Blues

And She Said
Don't you think that it's Time
Yeah, She Said
It's time to go make a New Rhyme
There's to many of You
All caught up in your Heads

It's what's been keepin' ya in Bed
You got to damn lost in your Head

And he said Son
We all know it's Time
That we all Shine like Ten Suns
And he said Son
We all know it's Time
And there is No Where to Run

She said Boy
Why don't you Go
Out and spread the News
She said Boy
Why don't you Go
And Clear up those Blues

And he said Son
We all know it's Time
That you meet the One you hold Within
And he said Son
We all know it's Time
Once you meet you'll know, You Begin

I Said,

Can I find a Home
A Home for my Tears
Can I find a Home
I Been lookin' for Years

My Mama Said
There's just too much Sorrow
In the World Today
My Mama Said
There's just too much Truth
That ain't Bein' Said

And he said Son
We all know it's Time
That you meet the One you hold Within
And he said Son
We all know it's Time
Once you meet you'll know, You Begin

I am a man who has finally realized he needs to write down what matters to him, that I might learn from myself, what is important, what I value. To capture who I am now, for that is all we have is no.. more..
