Awake My Darlings

Awake My Darlings

A Poem by Healing Star
"

Smiling in the Sunrise, falling in Love with the Ease of a Summer Morning, Smiling from my Heart to You.

"

I might have been Shattered
I might have lost all Hope
I might have been the one you turned Away From
I might have been your Stumbling
I might have been the Darkness
I might have been the one you Despised
I might have been a thorn in your Side
I might have been the lover you wanted to Leave
I might have been the shadow in the Trees
I might have been the pain you left Behind
I might have been the struggle that left you Blind
I might have been the name you Changed
I might have been the rain on your Parade
I might have been tangle in your Brain
I might have been the tree that got chopped Down
I might have been the Sea that turned to Black
I might have been an accident waiting to Happen
I might have been the door that you found Closed
I might have been the Dream you turned to Nightmare
I might have been the Sky bright that turned to Black
I might have been the people that sneered at You
I might have been the waters no longer Clean

But now Wake my Darling and Look Again
You have found an Eternal Friend
Right here inside your Heart so Strong
All has Turned just as we wake in a Morning Song
Awake my Darling and find the Beauty in this Change
Open your Eyes to this Living Dream that all has Come
To welcome your Still Heart Home
All has Risen to see you on your Way
I Sing to your Beauty
I Sing to your Joy
On this Beautiful Morning
When we wake finding Ourselves Dreaming
Now Hush, my Darling and find the Love you once chased Away

About
I am a man who has finally realized he needs to write down what matters to him, that I might learn from myself, what is important, what I value. To capture who I am now, for that is all we have is no.. more..
