A Prayer To Be Free

My prayer on a quiet winter night.

Great Spirit watch over my loved ones, help them to see that their hearts are good, help them to know they are loved, help them to see the good in all things. Come and sit with me a while, I need to feel you near, come within me and set me right, wash my spirit, free me from my mind. I feel you moving through me, you begin to comfort me, like my mama use to do, I feel you comfort me, you quiet all so I can rest again. Why do I let my worries get to me, I know I have you to turn to, why do I let my troubles get me down, life is like a movie played. No matter what happens I know everything is going to be okay, everything is alright now, everything is always alright. Now just hold my head a little while, help me to drift off to sleep, make the sadness go away, that I might find my sunny day, please wash my spirit clean, wash my troubles all away. Thank you Father for your amazing love, you are always there, you are a mystery, and yet I know you care. I trust in your Beauty, you have provided all for me, give me the courage to accept that I am your son, that your beauty is my beauty, that there is nothing lacking in all your Creation, that I am free to truly walk in my beauty. I open my Heart to you Father, I am here, hold me, whisper to me what you have planned for me to do, I will walk the path, I will follow as you guide. Set me free.
