When I was a little boy
I loved to tag along
I had a big brother
Steve
And we always
called him Beav
I was always there
I was the Beaver's
Nightmare
He would complain
to Mom
But she would say, just let him
tag along
He would be playin' in the Park
Yes, even after Dark
And there I'd be, watchin' to See
How the game was played by Beav
Taught me so many things
'Bout the way to get along
And how to tell a Joke
How to smile and be strong
One day he saw it happen
How I would always just back down
He asked me, why I didn't stand
I didn't have an answer, I didn't have an answer
for Him
Now I know what it was, I know what it was
A lady told me it was my grandpa when he died
He hijacked my soul, because he couldn't find his
I learned to forgive, learned to forgive
I don't blame him, because my Soul is fine
But now he is released to his own
And he is free to live again
And I am here, also learning to live again
And now I stand, I stand for my Self
I stand, I respect myself and all who draw near
I have left that life, and all that doubt and fear
He would watch him, Jean- Claude Killy on the Tv
He had a dream of skiing the mountain like him
Flying down the hill, or what a thrill
To fly down the hill, using all the skill
When we were boys, he had the big blue skis
And I would go along, and we would pack the snow
Tryin' to get the speed, tryin' to get the speed
So we could make a move, in the snow
So we could make a move, flying as we Go
He put the spark in me, put the spark in me
To love the mountain, to love the speed
And then there was that day, that very special day
When my brother came back, and skied the Mountain
Side
He was inside, inside me, and we skied
I never knew how to glide, you should've saw my
eyes
When he showed me how, we could have skied into the
skies
He always wanted to come and ski with me
But that day never came until a little after he
left this place
He went to a new home, where he prepares the place
Where we will one day play together again
And he won't mind, if I tag along
Because he knows I have become strong
It will be a different way, such a different way
But I know we'll play, Oh, what a Holiday!
