On This Mountain

Nature can teach us how to live.

Sitting on this Mountain ridge, I can see as the Eagle Sees

Walking on this Stream's bank, I take in the strength of its current

Standing in the Forest of Tall ones, I stand with them as One

Lying in this valley of spring flowers, I see my own Beauty

 

Nature has only Love to give and Joy to Share

The out of balance Mind of Man is the only enemy of Nature

Surely Balance must once again come about, for we teeter on the edge of Extinction

Look into your Hearts children and See that Love must conquer Greed

 

The Balance has been lost by the mistakes of our Grandfathers

We are to blame for this state we are in, and we only can raise ourselves out of it

Each choice we make, each action we take, is felt and reciprocated through the Universe

Like the ripples on the Endless Sea, what we do cascades forever through its Mystery

 

We are not alone, we do not act singly, for all are part of the infinite Whole

All that is being done is a collective which has a great power when Summed

Sit with your Mother, on her Mountains, by her Seas, along her Rivers

She will whisper to you the needs that now must be met by us

 

Breathe in her air, Breathe in the energy of the Sun, Breathe in your Strength

For your Heart can win the day, when it is fed with the Nourishment of the Mother

Your home is not with the faltering structures of the past, but the Hope of a New Day

Soar on the winds of the highest clouds to your new beginning, born in Love of Nature

 

Be your Ancestors who now walk with you, to show you your Mother as she once was

To school you in the ways of a time lost, when man knew how to Live on the Earth

For you and your children must learn to give back, share, and follow your Heart

You must learn to see again that you are brother to four legged, related to the Tree

 

You must learn to Listen with your ears within, see with eyes that search your Soul

For you have come here, at this time, to this place, to bring about a Shift

It does not matter how long you have slept, you are now Awake and Remember

With the wind blowing through the trees, with the water splashing by, you are Free
