A Time To BeA Poem by Healing StarAbout an alignment retreat I went to at a cabin in Lambs Canyon. It was a time to be, a time to Be! A time to stop, listen, commune, to see. As the moisture ran down my face. I saw the mist kiss the trees with grace. A time to sit, a time to be free! A time to exist, and stand with my tree. He has a scar that he carries to tell the tale. Of the day the beam hit him but he did not wail. It was a time to remember, to observe the thinker in me. A time to reflect and inhale, to let go and to free. I sat in the woodland and acknowledge a few. And back in the cabin reflect with friends new. A time for going inside, stretching out the stale. A time to breathe it in, and push out the exhale. To be aware of the movement, aware our balance. To shake up what was lost in a trance. A lesson to learn to take care of our bodies and minds. A time to reflect, to check out and from inner unwind. New connections were made with stories combined. A new direction to see how to become aligned. For we all have a goal to reach for the stars. We all have a dream with no prisons no bars. And once we understand how to be clear and focus. We can bring it all about with our inner hocus pocus. We all went to the cabin with a purpose, a reason. We realized it was our time, our season. If we are going to achieve we must bring our bodies along. With body and mind aligned, we become tree strong. We learned to appreciate the food, to be aware as we eat. We sat solitary in nature with Mother Earth at our feet. We learned the simple art of how to breathe. We brought in the energy from above and beneath. At the end we all went our way. But my heart in the Cabin will always stay. There is a peace that resonates at the cabin in the canyon. And this peace brings people's hearts together as One. © 2013 Healing Star |
