End Of War: Phoenix RisingA Poem by Healing StarStarted out describing old rock bands how they left it all out there on stage, but turned to something very different as an energy wanted to be heard. It's the drummers motor that they are ridin' Can you see their hearts, they laid it all sprawled out there on the floor Nothing left to leave again there, nothing left to leave Can you see them, they were all there, nothing anywhere else to find There, all their beauty, it was all there left out for you It was definitely the drummers motor that they were ridin' As they go screaming into the night, with all of them holding on With all of them, with all, with all, they rose into their hearts You could see them most any night, all spent and ready for more You could see them most any night, with all of it there thrown into the air The young hearts, how they reacted to all the pain Some would turn to violence, some would turn to the pleasure pill But all of them were lost there, all were lost, in some form or way Such beautiful children, with their dreams all shattered, as they lost hope They started out so vibrant, ready to disarm the foe, young hearts They had glory to their backs there, and a banner of truth laid out in front Yeah, they had glory to their back, and truth laid out in front But they did not see it coming, no not one, the pain that suffocates They were still children, when they learned soon nothing would be the same They watched on the local news the latest bodies for the day As the months dragged and it went on and on with no ears listening We cried it is wrong, we cried please bring them home They were our children, our boys, our fathers, our friends They were all losing hope, they were all wallowing in the sorrow It went on so long, went on so long, it just simply dragged us down There was no one listening, on deaf ears all cries had fallen No one wanted to hear the cries of the mother, who learned her sons demise No one wanted to hear the wife, with a husband lost to war No one would contribute, to care, or take a stand for peace We cried on as long as we could, until our souls they chose to leave We cried until there was nothing left, it all had been cried out, all of us There was nothing left to leave there, it was left there on the floor There was nothing left to leave, but this phoenix is now rising from the flames Can you see her soaring, ahhh, those tears were not wept in vain For the tears of that War are being heard now, in the dropping of the rain I said the tears of that War are now being heard, by the Mother of the rain You see all dreams dreamed are memories, memories of the forgotten few But we have not forgotten, the injustice that was done there And now the phoenix it is rising, in the East, it comes in from the East there On the wave of a one so bright, it is a wave seen in the moonlight of the night Changed but yet resembling, the one who was there so long ago He rises in the East now, with those memories lingering on and on He rises in the East now, can you walk with him a while For he needs to know he's not alone, needs you for a smile You see he is one who prayed the War end, one who lost a loved one there He was nearly taken by the pain it caused, he nearly took himself to the other side But when he heard the drumming, he felt there might be a hope at last Yes, when he heard the drumming, felt it might be worth again trying for a while The other day I saw him, he was walking on the path I said the other day I saw him, he was walking not alone For there I saw you walking, walking side by side I Said there I saw you brother, You were from that time gone by There was something that you left there, it was almost all of you Now is the time to find it again, now is the time to rise up from that fall You are still you, not all was left there in that frozen field of gloom I am talking to you, anyone who found they could not go on in that pain Anyone who found themselves somehow needing to find a place to hide My message is you do not need to die in shame, rise up with the phoenix My message is to rise up, War is War, it is the same lie, the same pain They have invented another monster, another one they call our foe Well I say it is illusion, the same illusion that use to work, but no more Rise up phoenix, rise up with these words, let us stomp them down No more to believe their lies, no more to fight their Wars, no more, no more For we are a mighty phoenix, rising with the truth to set our hearts free We will not die in shame, for the lie you have always told, no more, no more For you will find your justice, for I have seen it, it is coming quick You will be seen for what you are, you will hide in the rocks, you will wish for death For your lies have come to haunt you, your lies shall bring you pain We shall rise above you, we shall rise who once you made low We are the children from that time, a time you made dark as black night But our dreams of peace are now blooming, our hopes are now coming back to us We have not dreamed in vain, for we smell your stench from miles away And we will shout it from the roof tops, your day is ended and gone forever It is time for a new day, a day of compassion, of love, peace and joy Honor to the phoenix, she is rising in the East, feel her love within you, feel her peace This is the hope of the world, to rise up and find her new beginnings in the dreams of you You are the children of that War, and there are the new children of this day, rise together Rise together , find your hearts as one, for in this all things will be resolved Glorious morning, glorious morning, after the old has fell away, give birth unto the new Holy angels, blessed children, sacred ancients all have come to see this day Walk with hearts united, walk with embolden hearts of gold, for this is your day Oh Glory, oh Truth, or Peace, you have truly won out in the end The tears were not shed in vain, the chants not chanted for no reason, hold high, hold high You are now the champion, who once wallowed in such grief, thinking all was lost With tears of joy, you watch as old banners fall in flames, and you see the new coming into view All glory and honor to the ones who battled on, who have kept the dream alive to this wonderful day With glory stretched out behind you, and the banner of truth and peace laid out in front. Oh Peace, Oh Peace, Oh Peace, you have finally come at last. © 2015 Healing StarFeatured Review
