Budding

Budding

A Poem by Gee Bee
"

I read this poetry in Tumblr, and I was inspired to write something today. :)

"

It starts with a gardener of some sort
planting out seeds in the empty plots
You don't think about it much
It stays in the cold soils of your mind
Untouched, not thought of
It's just there

But he
tends to the plant and make it grow

With those little rabbit smiles

And sparkling eyes

And little bits of emotions he peppers his messages for you
a little stem peeks out from the soil
and yet you don't seem to mind

They talk about you
and tell you things
Like how he'd turn them on

with his heavy breathing and homemade cookies

Or how he's afraid of falling in love and of clowns

And that he loves chocolates and long car rides
things that make the seedling grow even more
and yet you still don't mind

And before you could even take another step
Lo, behold
a grown-up idea
dangling right in front of you
Yes, it says, you vehemently walk past this
every single day
not looking and see
that you are in love
