Sonnet about Easter

Sonnet about Easter

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

Celebration on the resurrection and the life

"

From the outer realm came a new refrain,
Volunteer spectra died struggling to the end
Mere outward shadows before Lent obtain,
The price was paid for the sins of mankind.

And life flushes out the stain against humanity
The archives penalty that was deep in slumber,
Has risen from the grave an indispensable society,
Love grows stronger in demonstration of power.

Taste the homily in celestial arms we are thrown
The most glorious hope of resurrection life,
Happier days to come in epiphany of our new home,
Leave the cares of this life in the tomb of strife

On the cross soldiers impale Gods instrument,
As part of crucifixion, Easter marks the fulfillment.
