Bitter rancour

Bitter rancour

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

We are conscious of being let down by those who we love

"

Bitter rancour hide the silhouetted against the moon
Silence came and stood constraint in the room
Without the music, a mirage of dream murals the mind
Sanity drifted in vacuum unaccustomed decline
Self-conscious faith surprise the infamous
Faltered romance surrendered a marching chorus
To share the seasons graduated intensity
Uninvited relationship made the heart more humanity
it becomes exhausted and bitterly lonesome
Indecisiveness tucked beneath your frown
From your wounded soul seemingly quiet platform
Ignorance survive emotions measured revenge
Shuffling dangerous cross temper startled image
Into silent corners of holy conservatism
Your heart plots another winter's transvestism
pretence reaction for throwing up mute courtesy
The perfect answer to defeat betrayal agony
Despise love coincide with the darker danger
Only time will heal the bitter rancour of control nature
