Count your blessings

Count your blessings

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

Name all your blessings and count them each day

"

Instead of counting failures,

Or adding sorrow to doubt and fear,

Count your many blessings,

Each cheer brings confidence,

With joy midst the tears,

Sunny smiles you'll embrace.

Remember all the special people,

Those you love and appreciate,

Be thoughtful, be considerate, and be gentle

With others who are not as fortunate,

Show them that you care,

Circumstance may foster new hope,

Instead of a heart pining with despair.

Their persona will be enrich by your life,

Instead of despair just count your blessings,

Cherish love, leave misery and strife,

Every name deserve to be bless,

Think of yesterday been right here,

Multiplying laughter at the memories,

Even the bittersweet moments we share.

In those growing years maturity made,

Life an experience filled with great pleasure,

Blessings are hidden where the soul is afraid,

God has made you, who you are,

A perfect being, a creation of tremendous value,

Sharing the gift of another passing year.
