Great way to look at things

Great way to look at things

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

letting our senses do the examination

"

That’s just great the lessons that are taught,
Learning how to handle things with dignity,
Some repulsive, others typical of devious thought,
Do they want you for love or for your money?

You can’t avoid doing things to earn a living,
Taxes hang out in safer haven to pick your pocket,
That’s great, how the amount is always increasing,
They will take your coat and also your jacket.

That’s just great how children leave you empty,
Abandon care drawn neglect over their eyes,
Ingenious consent trying to make you feel guilty,
But I had already made my own will and wishes.

The choices prone to protect the old senses,
They had a plan but I was only partly listening,
Great ideas only want attention and riches,
I found out the reason for their thinking.

Friends go when no one is chasing them out,
To neurotic places of extreme and stolen love,
I owe nothing notable but that’s just great,
I may even go to heaven before they leave.

Games played make you grimace with shock,
They are ecstatic but decrees leaves you dismay,
Another resolution resembling a hat trick,
What memories will they take house or pantry?
