Ashes Scattered

Ashes Scattered

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

In remembrance of our loved ones is where our emotions live

"

Forties gallery where the cold war rages,
Hung over the fragmented jazz sound,
Live performance pack black coffee stages,
Millions were lost in the new world found.

Twilight days bring voices back to memory,
The ruin affairs distraught intrepid years,
And wit drunk with immoral philosophy
Coalition of fear caught in the sum of tears.

Roaring adoring forties became crest fallen
Heroes sank deep in the earth fervent mine,
Shadows waltz in the summer moon glen
Cocoon tide in the fading distance of time.

Ashes scattered over where the cold water spent,
The forces of motions and emotional lives went.
