Just Memories to ReminisceA Story by Jorj JieA Love Letter
It's a gloomy weather and it starts to drizzle.
How she missed running under the rain with him. How he held my hand as they walked and got soaked. How he puts his arms around her As the train gets suddenly crowded. How he patiently point out the train map As they explored stations they haven't been. She missed listening to him as he talked. For he always had a way with words. She missed the way he hugged her so tight. For he would plant kisses on her forehead. She missed his humor and his stories. For he would laugh with her about everything. His generosity, she remembers clearly. His random act of kindness to a woman that was homeless. The look of gusto as he devoured his Bulgogi. The smile he had, as he watched those kids dancing on the street. That look of discomfort when his tummy was upset. How she worried about him getting those headaches. Out of all those things, the thing that she missed the most... Is how he looked when he was asleep. It's so peaceful, he was like a baby. It is indeed one of life's best gift Watching the person she loved lying close to her. And it never stopped there. Even at the roughest days when he seemed upset His face would be red and she would still love it. He was one of the most transparent persons she has ever met. When he's happy he never deprived himself and everybody else a smile But he would not hesitate to make it known when he's upset. He was so true and that was his virtue. How can she not fall in love with someone like him. But that's all there is.... just memories to reminisce. He was a great person. She loved and I lost him. No regrets just gratefulness for that wonderful time. Thankful that life made gave her that experience. Blessed to know what love was truly about. No hates no lies no deceits. Just love and gratefulness For the shortest time she had with him. Days, weeks, months and years passed. She made peace with the fact that it can never happen again. She needs to make it through this lifetime without him. She missed him.. She loved him... © 2018 Jorj Jie |
