The impossible becomes reality

The impossible becomes reality

A Story by georgia churchill

Just a short story from a project I done a while back.

"

Apparently I have been an angel my whole life and yet no one has told me. Things like this don’t happen. How can I be an angel when I’m still alive? Doesn’t seem possible, but it is.

I left my home and came to angel’s palace in hope that I will be able to get answers.

Okay I’m a terrible liar.

I didn’t come here out of my own will, I was dragged by Edward, who happened to save me from these strange creature like demons.  I don’t remember it very well but I sure as hell did not give my permission to come to this place, if I could I would be at home right now watching Jeremy Kyle. That’s if my house was still standing and wasn’t burnt down by demons.

I remember it very well, the very first day I was brought here by Edward.

“Do you ever think she’ll wake up? It’s been four days already”.

“You have to give her time. She had a major blow to the head, she hasn’t got the kind of healing powers like us. She’s human”

I could hear every single word they were saying. Healing powers? Of course I’m human.

“Humans die easily don’t they?”

“Stop it Tom, you its back luck to talk about death in the Angels Palace” Edward said under his breath.

Four days I thought to myself, four bloody days and I still can’t wake up.

“Wake up” I keep trying to tell myself.

But I couldn’t.

My dreams held me down, one after another, a stream of images on myself being dragged through a forest by a demon. Then I was flying, I had wings, they were beautiful. That’s when the dream becomes darker, my feathers fall out and turn black. Then that’s in, the end of my dream and I still don’t wake up.

“Come on girl. I know you can fight this!” A voice softly whispered in my ear.

I wanted to scream and shout and ask who they were, but it just would not come out of my mouth.

“I know you can do this” The voice sounded calm, something I think I could hold on to and wake myself up.

There were many voices in the room but this one was so relaxing and calming. It must be the nurse, I could feel her fiddling around with the bandage on my arm.

“Is she still not awake” I could hear tom saying.

He sounds like a sweetheart.

I’m trying and trying so hard to come back to reality I just need to keep pushing. S**t wait, I just moved a finger.

I’m trying harder and harder. With every moment I could move something else, next was my foot.

“Look! She moved” said tom.

He was right, I did. I’m awake, I’m free from the darkness I have been trapped in for days.

“You’re right Tom, she is alive after all. I will just go and get Edward” I heard the nurse say.

I tried blinking but my eyelids felt so heavy, as if something was keeping them shut. My whole body was aching from top to bottom. I must have gone through a hell of a lot to feel this bad. As I managed to open my eyes wider all I could see was a blue ceiling and the rest white. Everything was white. Literally.

I haven’t got a clue where I am, if you ask me it looks more like heaven.

“Am I dead?” I ask little tom who’s staring at me.

“No.  Just at Angels Palace, where you belong. You’re angel” he smiled and giggled.

He must be completely mental or either he’s been reading too many fantasy books.

I heard the crash of a big heavy door, I look to my left and I can see Edward. He’s wearing all white, except from a pair of black boots which looks totally wrong with his clothing choice.

“Hey, glad to see that you’re finally awake” he smiled.

“Don’t smile at me, you brought me here without asking. You’ve basically kidnapped me” I scream.

Ok, maybe I’m over reacting a little but it had to be said.

“Woah calm down kitten” he laughed.

“Don’t call me that” I snapped.

“Look a brought you here to save you from the demons that were trying to kill you” he shrugged.

“Demons don’t exist. I knew it, I’m in a mental asylum” I laughed to myself.

All I want is to escape this place, I feel like I’m in a beautiful looking prison. I don’t even know where I am.

“Where am I?” I ask. Hoping its somewhere very close to home.

“Angels Palace. It where all us angel’s live” he said truthfully.

“You don’t look like an angel. This is nutts, I’ve had enough, please let me leave” I say trying to sit up silently, keeping the screams in that I so longingly want to let out from the pain that’s bursting inside of my body.

“I’ll put it simple for you. Everyone here are angels, we have angel blood in us. We think you are one too. Some of us don’t develop our wings for a long time and that’s what must have happened to you” he said.

Woah, I cannot believe what I am hearing right now.

“What are you Angel Gabrielle or something” I laughed.

“Seriously you need to listen. Your mum was an angel, she would come and go years on end. This is where she was brought up, this was where you was born”.

I can see that he’s stressed, his cheeks are getting redder by the minute. I should really stop attacking him or I’m going to have a new enemy.

“So I’m an angel right?” I ask.

I can’t believe I’m actually considering the idea that I could be. I don’t know anything about my part life and I know my mums been hiding a secret from me. Maybe this was it.

I manage to push myself out of bed and stand up. Wow it feels so good to be able to stretch my legs. As I stood up I was looking Edward in the eye. He was standing there tall and looking handsome. I didn’t notice it before, but he was right. He is an angel. He has wings.
