Phases of Smile

In this poem, I am trying to distinguish smile in every stage of human life.

PHASES OF SMILE

A moment of seeing a baby’s smile

Send forth happiness to anyone

It gives them a time to break free

From stress, worries and melancholy.

 

A child’s smile gives direction

Its smile reminds responsibility

Thus endeavoring hardships

Becomes a sweet labor to fulfill.

 

The sweetest of all is the teen’s smile

Either boy or girl learns to smile secretly

The reason why, this thing called love

Is the culprit of this pleasant sensation.

 

A grown up depicts its smile intensely

Maybe because it is one’s personality

Or sometimes a call for necessity

Which erstwhile leads to uncertainty.

 

A seasoned person smiles to look back

What he did right or wrong in the past

And now is the time to reminisce all things

Life has offered from birth till his last breath.
