'Deep down, what do you think love is? Where does it come from? What are your most cherished moments either it be with a loved one or doing what you 'love' for a living? '
Having never known anything so true, I passed this thought among my co-workers and friends.
"Love is serene, heartfelt down to the core."
"Love is meaningless without thought or meaning."
"Love is powerful."
I've seen so many nice, wonderful people have their lives shattered in an instant because of this horribly dreadful emotion. People misusing this word and abusing what it's true meaning is. This is my opinion on the outside. I for one, can't really give a hands on interpretation for it but I can already tell because of the mass wreckage that would follow a breakup. I hope people don't fall for this misconception when it comes from a really gorgeous hunk or a smoking hot babe. All those reality shows where people have their hearts broken on tv, it's pretty sad that a majority of America asks for this. Don't be a sucker for someone just because they use the L word. Be stubborn ^^. Ask for proof.
With every book I've read, every movie I've watched, love is supposed to be this perfect moment that no one can interrupt between two people. The dreamy moments girls dream of kissing in the rain. The wonderful moments guys can picture watching a movie on a couch and falling asleep with their loved one in his arms.
Strangely enough , as I noted earlier, it doesn't pertain to only this. Love can be found everywhere. It can be in the eyes of that cute puppy at the pound. It can be sweeping a kitchen, or making coffee.
It can be waiting on tables for the greatest people in the world.
I have always doubted all my life that I would never find something like love. I'm not lazy, I just keep thinking of the bad side of it. The drama, the pain, the responsibility. I wouldn't mind finding it, but still. It makes me wonder if I'm destined for this lonely fate. If my glass heart was shattered for the last time and all the crazyglue in the world won't mend the pieces back together.
Pretty much like everyone else, I don't know true love but I've seen a lot of breakups. Enough to know that if I'm ever going to find someone, I'm going to look for that girl who can teach me what forever means. I'm sure saying that might seem like I'm asking for perfection. But hey, perfect is an open ended word depending on who you're asking.
