Hope In Dark WatersA Poem by AzraelSelf reflection
I walked to the sea
Gazed at its blackness Feeling a kinship Dark and void of color Like the waters of my mind Your waves crash against the shore As my thoughts They rise Then recede from whence they came Leaving only echo’s of their approach Foamy remnants in the sand So be the creative thoughts By a madman who stands at the sea Adrift and alone Grasping for the intellectual Drowning from the inane Hope be the moons glimmer Doing a rhythmic water dance Epiphany in a thought There is The ever constant ocean of ideas Perhaps as the tide lifts So will words for my wonder Held immortal by the pen and quill For we each hold life in our bodies Tied to our reason and purpose We do what we do and exist The night sounds play a symphony The old man hums along What was lost will come As does this oceans song gkl2010 © 2010 AzraelAuthor's Note
