~ Alas Nothing Lasts ~

~ Alas Nothing Lasts ~

A Poem by Azrael
"

Outside looking In

"

Whispered hushed melody of the winds
soothing song that caresses a damaged soul
Warming waves of contentment wash against
carving a place within the walls of the heart
Loneliness ebbs with the tide
washing away pain like foot prints in the sand
Moments of serenity , absorb the beauty of the gift
prickles of fear surround the moment
Fate's lesson what one cherishes takes flight
no cure for the ache of longevity ~ nothing lasts

~g~

A sad thought to have. Nothing lasts. The world just speeds by, Eveything seems disposable. How sad that we also have become that way. Lesson learned the hard way. Love has just become a four letter word , plastic and disposable. Nothing lasts. I shall forever be on the outside looking in. Each foray into your world taught me one thing ~ Nothing lasts.

So I wait. Outside. Aching and waiting for that one hand to reach out. To step into a world with me that lasts. Where love is ever growing. Where the loving gaze of appreciation never ceases. Where the want is always answered. Where the heart is always pure and whole. To a world where it lasts..eternal.

Foolish aren't I? ~ I shall die a fool no doubt. Yet be it known that I waited for you. That I searched for you. That I never felt whole without you. Know that I was a fool for you and that I gave you my life.
Alas nothing lasts....
~g~
