From the Inside Looking Out

From the Inside Looking Out

A Poem by Azrael
"

It speaks for itself

"

I hide alone in the darkness
watching you from deep within
I see the vanity of your image
living the life and lie of a sin.
Happiness remains the illusion
to hide the scars of a soul
If not found with dignity
it shall never make you whole
You claim offerings of love
yet they never come from the heart
I know even in my darkness
true love never truly falls apart
People ceased being people
it seems so very long ago
They stop living with their hearts
and with greed they sold their soul
Not for their elders
nor the child that they bare
it's the instant gratification
only for the now do they care
Ask me why I hide here
in the darkness oh so deep
I shall tell you truly
tis your world that makes me weep.
