A Father's LoveA Poem by HollyAn envoy poem, written for a school project.............for a friend of a friend. (-.-)He plays with his son for a while. And he picks him up, spinning him around. They play with toy soldiers and make gunshot sounds. And there are toy trucks buried in the sand box mounds. Photo memories were lost and recently found. Smiles and laughs were bound. The father's love spreads for miles.
Presents opened on a birthday and wrapping paper thrown in piles. And from picking up their first puppy at the pound. To going caming at the camp ground. To first learning how to ride a bike became astound. To the boy who at Homecoming becamed crowned. To his first soccer game became inbound. For the father still smiles.
For the old ways are unwound. The father wishes for the two to drive around. And to see what surrounds. The son sees things around. For they are memories that are new found. Of pictures which are placed in a file.
The son has no denile. Of the memories that are found. Of the laughs that were made worth while. Of the funny photos of the son, dad and the hound. They laughed at the photo memories that were soon in piles. And the father whispered in the lowest sound, "My son, I will always love you, Kyle." © 2011 HollyAuthor's Note
