IS THIS A CONTRADICTION IN TERMS?

Eternity.

             Either you believe or you don't. We can't straddle the fence on this one. The Bible, you know, the undisputed, well it is disputed these days, but it says "Because you were neither cold nor hot I will spew you out of my mouth." That's God talking. Yep! God used to talk to humans. But you know what? Just like everything else, we ruined it.

THIS is why there's a hell.

Some people say, "Well, if God is such a loving God, then why is he bent on destroying his beloved creation?

First, God created humans as PERFECT beings.

SIN and GOD do NOT co exist. So God created hell for the ones that do not accept Him because there is sin in them.

Someone once told me, 

"Forever, (he called me that sometimes)...anyway, he says, "I cannot comprehend an eternity where everything is perfect. Where we just turn to our companion and say, "Dear, Pass me that that tasty morsel third cob from the bottom."

Some say in eternity we won't need food. We probably won't need it but angels have food. God fed the Israelites manna in the wilderness until they complained because they wanted meat.

Then God rained Pheasants on them, so many they couldn't eat them fast enough. The meat was spoiling even before they swallowed it. They should have stayed with angels' food because many of them died. See? God always knows best.

In terms of God's relationship with man, the answer to the kinds of questions you ask serve as major distractions from finding the truth, and ultimately apply to Christians only. When I spend time thinking about theology and philosophy, I take it as a given that God exists, and, as far as I can tell, I exist, so now what?
God does not only exist, all existence is in and through him.
In a sense, He is the ONLY thing that exists, but at the same time
He IS consciousness and infinite. HIS existence, like ours comes in two forms, the physical AND the spiritual. If you think of our planet as a blood cell, pulsing through time, along with all the other bits-and-pieces of ALL conscious matter, we have not got the ability to disentangle our minds from consciousness existence nor from our material existence. God IS able, and as long as these things are true, our understanding is as though looking through dark glass.
Our pitiable attempts to grow beyond our bounds is part of the main objective of creation, for ALL of the collected consciousnesses from here to the furthest edge of everything is to bring it pure harmony. Maybe when that happens, there will be a crossover between spiritual and physical existence as a unified thing.
Each person is enjoined to travel the path as carefully as a human is able.
Since my path has all its roots in Christ and the Judaeo-Christian tradition, I’ve tried to be careful, and do the teachings as study reveals them.
I LOVE Christ as God’s means of reconciling us to Him,
I LOVE my neighbor (EVERYONE)
I live the ABUNDANT LIFE He promised.
I make it my ambition to lead a quiet life, mind my own business, and work with my hands.
The Gospel is easy and its burden light. Hardly any work at all id we’d just settle down.

Hi Vol, Jesus said, "When you see Me, you see the Father. I know what you're saying, there are answers to each religion as far as the savior for that religion. We each have to throw the dice on that one. Do we believe CHRIST is THE SON OF GOD or not? That is the question and just that simple. My initial question, vol, was do you, as an individual, believe in eternity?
Do you love your neighbor if you let him into your house and he rapes and kills your daughter...or her baby. THAT aspect calls into reality our belief. We either believe ALL THE WAY or we don't. And if we don't go all the way, GOD the CREATOR says, "Because you don't believe wholeheartedly, I will spew you out of my mouth." He wants us to go the whole way...or not. He sent his own Son to be tortured. Not just to die. But we have to believe in that blood for it to save us. Words are words. God will judge our HEART.
The Commandments are guidelines. So even if we are a peaceful neighbor and don't bother anybody and mind our own business...BUT we are constantly "thinking" about banging the neighbor's wife or taking his daughter's cherry, we are hell bound.
Keep the Commandments. ALL of them. And don't be evil in your heart. Jesus forgives, yes, but we can reach a point OUR soul is like a stone. ...* I love these talks with you, teacher, you are a wise man of God, I do believe, Thank you.

We are just dancing around the same fire... I cannot know my OWN heart, how could I possibly judge anyone else's? Every commandment is just another way to say the first two... Love God, Love your neighbor. If we concentrate on those two, the others are automatic. Since we have Christ, AND we have the Bible, none of the "children of God" have any excuse for not knowing the Truth and following it. We are enjoined to work out our own salvation but "with fear and trembling." Beyond that, we are not allowed to judge. I know people who believe that it is a sin to use any Bible besides the KJV. So, ALL followers of Christ, world-wide, must first be taught Tudor English?
I don’t KNOW anything. I only do my best to move through time leaving behind as little death and destruction as I can. My principles are hard set after many decades of me becoming me. Socrates said “The unexamined life is not worth living. At 75, I wonder about those folks who never lived long enough to figure themselves out… But that introduces time into the cauldron of bubbling witch's brew. The Bible teaches that time is non-linear, and the quantum physicists are coming to the same conclusion... that EVERYTHING that has or ever will happen is doing so right now. So, if those two sources are correct, there is nothing to worry about, because, like Douglas Adams said, “Anything that could possibly happen probably already has…” Now consider the consequences of what Mark Twain said: “I have no fear of death, I was dead for billions and billions of years before I was born and have suffered no consequences from it.”
Think about it, people think the God of the universe wears a Roman Toga and in the pocket He has a pencil and tablet so when you do what your mama told you not to, OOPS! Gotcha! THE ONLY THNG GOD CARES ABOUT IS YOUR SOUL, which only He can read.

Yes, we are dancing around the same fire but nothing I'd rather be doing. The Bible says we are to provoke each other to good works. Is that correct? I think that's what we're doing. Vol, you know way more than I do in scholastic stuff plus religion and you are so freaking exhilarating to talk to. I wish I could have whole books of you. You clear up a lot of stuff for me. Like seeing God as He sees, not past, present, future, but all right now. I do know your heart and you could be doing anything else besides writing what you believe will help somebody. But you choose to write your knowledge, which, to you is repetitive, I'm sure, ad nauseum. I do appreciate. I do.
