HOOKY

EVERYBODY DID IT

"Naw! I ain't a-skeered t'play Hooky!"

Not that she ever had

And I 'm sure I didn't play hooky

Cause she was the one that's bad!

So we skipped school one day

Well it was only one day fer me!

I was too skeered to even play!

All I had to do all day was pee!

.

Nothing was good though the fridge was full

And we ate to our hearts' content

By the time school was out and time to play

Sister was raring but I was done spent.

.

So from then until now, I don't play Hooky

It just ain't no fun to this kid

When everybody tells tales of the day playin' Hooky,

I stay silent cause I really don't remember what we did!

Too bad you didn't know me as a kid. we'da played some cool hooky. hid out in the tree house, stole donuts from the corner store, rode our bikes to the old pond and looked for salamanders and tadpoles, got ole Mr Jennkin's dog all riled up and barkin', maybe even stole some cigs from my dad's pack and blew smoke like we knew what we was doin. Hell Eternity it would have been one hell-of-a-hooky-day. I'd bet youd be talkin about it still!! ;0)
