CooperationA Chapter by Kenneth The Poet
The blade and the cup,
or the arrow and the cross, two worlds in conflict. Since the dawn of our written history, the sword has stabbed the chalice. Over and over, showing their supremacy, the supposed kind. The top of the pile, the self-knighted X-factor despite the real truth. Both sexes have the same X-factor factoring into the real truth. And to add insult, they came from the Y-crease that they find edible. The molecule made this reality so that the chalice wins out. Competition does not totally rule the course of human events. It plays a great role, but cooperation is the truthful model. To survive is to cooperate and to churn out the good offspring. To copulate is to cooperate for the species' survival. While that truth may be vulgar to many people, it is solid fact. And that is how the spirit propagates forward, through extreme closeness. And the end result, a new life brought forth holding the spirit of two. Two people in love, maybe forever or just caught in the moment. That is the true source for the cooperative spirit within us. That is not vulgar in the least, it's beautiful into transcendence. © 2012 Kenneth The Poet |
