Liquid Gold

Liquid Gold

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

he saw a new mother cry today,
on the day her Savior rose,
only to be told that her daughter
is suffering more,

nephrology compromised,
a red balloon because of
fluid overload, and that
the cities along the
Old Man might
contain the answer
to her prayers,

and yet she's attached
to a yellow-sucking machine
leeching liquid gold as the
salty tears leech from her eyes,

the entire situation sucks for her,
the entire situation sucks for sure,

and his father says that dogma
reigns supreme, that baptism
must be done to prevent the
granddaughter from being in limbo,

the rosaries were never off
the ovaries at all it seems like,

it is what it is,
a situation equivalent to a
filled diaper but the diaper
is
missing its liquid gold

I'm speechless. This is what legends are made of.

Scathing, with ample amounts of frustration. I feel you, Bro, and I feel for you. So many prayers...

"It is what it is!," The words my husband spoke just five months ago before he died. We are told, we hope and we go through what we are faced with. The pain that is not lessened but maybe understood. So much suffering in this living. I'm sorry!

I feel this soooo very deeply Ken... ever on the fearful edge and when even prayers don't offer much of solace or hope. It isn't with pity that I wish you whatever miracles there may be... but because I understand pain well.

Sincerely,
Chris

Ken, I am terribly sorry for the
anguish that must be felt in your
family. Don`t discount the prayers
my friend. I have seen them bring
miracles many times. I will challenge
heaven , as never before .
God bless you and help her
