Fourteen Days
A Poem by
Kenneth The Poet
Mother the shade of royal curled up with the child in the throes of kitten calls and sights shaded in polar opposition, while the father echoes prose from Keenan as thoughts of baby-back ribs go through his intellect because even satire has its moments of placement, yet as she cries and hiccups the parents look on with awe and love because fourteen days is a milestone in their eyes, one day closer to discharge, one day closer to coming home and all the vital signs are pointing toward that conclusion

Won't pretend to know you, or your plight, but as a mother this piece touched me deeply.

This is interesting! I mean sure fourteen day could seem like ninety eight as my perspective of this has me feeling like a mother feline. I really like it because it is mysterious. Nice!

read this 3 times already...it is blatantly clear...yet I have my doubts that I understand this completely. It's obvious that you are writing about a miracle. I hope it inspires more poems like this...I really enjoyed the perception this poem creates.

Good to get a little report on her
progress. All sounds so familiar, Ken.
We are all watching and waiting for her
first steps, her first anything and we
'will be right there cheering you on.
