this is a lovely happily ever after. i like the symbolism to flowers of plastic in giving the woman reassurance that his heart will never change. were you watching a romantic comedy before you read this ; )
out of the material of yours that I've read, this is seemingly uncharacteristic-- I didn't have to dig deep to feel the optimism. I love the qualities of the plastic flower that you decided to emphasize: cheap, permanent, beautiful, never changing, and not ever wilting...for sure a solid investment, much like your heart in this piece.

In a 'brownout' I bought me ex a flower as I was getting another 12 pack. Two weeks later I expressed surprise that the flower had not yet wilted. Such was my existence then.
