Semper Summatum

Semper Summatum

A Chapter by Kenneth The Poet

The instructor, the
master of the subject, is
the classroom leader.

A taskmaster of
highest esteem, he or she
calls them to order.

There is no holding
back, there is only ready
and able bodies.

This is the mold for
the consciously competent
teacher, the right way.

And yet, certain ones
are not of that caliber,
all alone and lost.

Dysfunction reigns like
a senile monarch, without
a stable rudder.

The classroom head could
be the sage of their subject,
of little concern.

The teacher must be
a bulldog, a Marine Corps
style drill instructor.

At the outset, the
teacher must set the correct
tone for the school year.

Firm but fair, tough and
taut like a spring-loaded chain
with a decent length.

Students are not some
wild animals, but youngsters
on the verge of growth.

Growing up into
the citizens that culture
demands them to be.

Rule-oriented
and goal-oriented, set
up for much success.

It starts at home and
in the crucible of the
classroom, set to go.

Dedication and
hard work, the hallmark of a
well-worn instructor.

This is done so we
remain exceptional and
full of liberty.

Semper Summatum,
the degree of teaching is
Always The Highest!
