A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

canceling the terms,

cutting out the dross,

looking for patterns

in finding the identities,

the equitable forms beneath,

the cubes disconnected

from their linear parents

a couple of powers below,

a couple of layers hidden,

but the connection remains

since linear sequences in

bases raised to cubes

divided by pure linear

sequences creates a

whole every time,

all the time

and cubes are made

out of squares, when

added together when

the natural sequence

is cubed, squares and

certain rhombuses

chopped in half honestly

become connected reality

read between the

numbers like the

writers read between

the lines and write

into the lines between

Author's Note

Kenneth The Poet
My first love is mathematics, but poetry is the closest, complimentary second. My bread and butter is number sequences and the algebra that connects it all together. This poem is inspired by the truths expressed within.

If that explanation is confusing, check these truths out...

1^3 + 2^3 = (1 + 2)^2
1^3 + 2^3 + 3^3 = (1 + 2 + 3)^2
1^3 + 2^3 + 3^3 + 4^3 = (1 + 2 + 3 + 4)^2

(1^3 + 3^3 + 5^3) / (1 + 3 + 5) = 17
(2^3 + 3^3 + 4^3) / (2 + 3 + 4) = 11
(5^3 + 8^3 + 11^3 + 14^3) / (5 + 8 + 11 + 14) = 124

(2^3 + 5^3 + 10^3 - 3 * 2 * 5 * 10) / (2 + 5 + 10) = 49

numbers and patterns and words . . . sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong in my brain that makes them affect me the way they do

Yay! Gotta love mathematics...It is such a nice subject but I hate it when it acts like a torment in my life...Haha! :)))
A very interesting piece...
