Brother

Brother

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

Human conceit allows for us to think we're better evolved
And yet, for some stupid reason, we must get involved

In things insignificant and ever so small, ever so petty
And yet we like the heat of an ignited bouncing betty

So we make the decisions that give us cowboy mouth
And human relations just go to the pole further south

No wonder the uninvolved play the game duck and cover
And the participants should get a clue and be their brother

I just went to urban dictionary.com and looked up Cowboy Mouth. I will opt to think of it as the band I saw twice. You did a good job of choosing the formatting of this piece, the couplets really are short and concise. Though this piece is a little too literal for the likes my addled brain, I did find it relevant and cheeky.
