Early One Morning

Early One Morning

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

Early one morning, the darkness ruled
Three hours before the start of school

The keys are tapping after dopamine release
Guilt still flowing, spilling the milk should cease

But, the pride is swallowed as the long bus Doppler's by
Man has a sinful nature, nobody's really a stand-up guy

An American beauty minus the gunshot spilling the red
I don't take stock in prophecy, since we all wind up dead

Inexorably, so the changes must start at this moment
For more inspiring thought seeds to be birthed, to foment

Man's nature is bleak, tarnished, embossed in oxidized rust
It's better to perish a clean slate when becoming one with dust

Man's spilling the milk can be chilled since we've been given warning
All men should be sleeping, dreaming up good things early one morning

. ah, you're very versatile ... you excel in this style of writing as well ... these pairs of lines work well ... good luck for your new assignment (i believe?) ... that last line is specially amazing ...

makes me wonder what that dopamine inducing milk is, these lines:

Man's nature is bleak, tarnished, embossed in oxidized rust
It's better to perish a clean slate when becoming one with dust

sum it up for me.

Ohhh, this is handsome work. I fancy this style you're taking on here, Kenneth. Thoughtful in its approach and manner, delightful in its final absolution.
