GlimmerA Poem by Kenneth The PoetHere's a hopeful piece, because I feel hopeful today.Thoughts so dark, nights so dim Feeling lost without a win
One and twenty on the season A hero accused of high treason
Darkness lurks, waiting to strike Like a child falling off of a bike
But an impact is made, no doubt Not enough to scream and shout
The tendrils extend a long ways out A story for later to tell them about
About how one person cared enough By being even-handed, fair but tough
And the person who gave the time Shouldn't feel like a ball of slime
But be the top pole on the power cell Even though life can be a living hell
And the person smiles, just a glimmer Enough to make their soul shimmer
Don't give up, life ain't hell on wheels Even if your hope heard tires squeal
Press on against the wind and the fire You need to be the high voltage wire
In the end, you are making the choice So don't end up chasing the nasty voice © 2011 Kenneth The PoetReviews
