Hate & Love

Hate & Love

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet
"

A simple contrasting exercise.

"

Hate, the motivator of emotional scarring
It makes us do things that are extremely jarring

Hate, the reason why needless violence exists
And why these thoughts and feelings of apathy seem to persist

Hate, the feeling that makes humans commit the most evil of acts
Just read a history text to find such heart-wrenching facts

Love, the motivator to heal the emotional scarring
It makes us do things that are not negatively jarring

Love, the reason that social change can really exist
And thoughts and acts of violence need not further persist

Love, the feeling that makes humans commit the most edifying of acts
And then we can write a whole new history, a positive set of facts
