We WriteA Poem by Kenneth The PoetAn explanation for why we do what we do
We write, we write
to express our woes We write, we write to embitter our foes We write, we write to heat up our toes We write, we write to serve up the prose We write, we write since we're on the verge We write, we write since we need to purge We write, we write since we have the urge We write, we write since we want to merge We write, we write because we're inspired We write, we write since we're under the wire We write, we write since we're covered in mire We write, we write to set the world on fire We write, we write in bouts of war and peace We write, we write to fling balls of grease We write, we write to tear up the crease We write, we write to destroy the least We write, we write to bring down the most We write, we write to bring the fame close We write, we write to buy the burnt toast We write, we write to simply scream and boast We write, we write since the age of five We write, we write just to dance and jive We write, we write to stand out from the hive We write, we write just to know we're alive © 2011 Kenneth The PoetReviews
