The Will

The Will

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

break the will to slumber
inject the will of you over
the will of that
the will of the collective
and the will of tradition
continues, carries on
despite the will of slumber
and what the will of you wants
this calculus of the moment
is soon replaced  by the
calculus of the next moment,
which is replaced by the
calculus of the next moment
at one moment,
the Riverside neighborhood
was composed, stoic and boring
and in the next moment,
houses burned and people died
due to an airplane crash
what was algebraic went
transcendental without forewarning
the will of the slumber broken
by the will of whatever to spur
the will to serve into action
and so the world becomes
a better place
for the short term
the width of an atom
in terms of geology
and yet for the short span we've thrived,
we still exhibit the will to power
for better or for worse
no matter the filler entered into
the boilerplate, there is always
a will to whatever
the universe has a will to indifference
inversely proportional to our will to persevere
and we thrive on that will

and we strive on that will
no matter if the continent tears itself apart
no matter if the seas have radiation poisoning
the will carries itself
wherever it shall,
however it shall
the will shall cause and
the will shall effect
undirected or directed,
it simply matters not
the will does at it will
