Seeing Stars

Seeing Stars

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

hand drawn imperfection
fleet fingers penning points
between the values of five and nine
as if the new talent had any
kind of value beyond just the
owner's amusement
it doesn't but the surprise
is found in the owner's eye
the one in the place
of non-importance
do we call it imagination?
is the pineal the point place
from where we derive the
concepts of picture and connection?
or is it more within
the domain of the brain?

the one where we use the tithe size
because we believe in the divine
and the divine always demands payment
well I offer poorly-drawn symbols of
paganism and other faiths because
they actually exist unlike divinity

unlike perfection
unlike the zombie rising
unlike your mom's love for me
and your love for my mom
unlike the coherence of this piece
so say f**k it and start drawing stars
because seeing stars begins in three...two...
