West MemphisA Poem by Kenneth The Poet
west of Memphis, the stage is set
two decades and lifetimes of regret a trio of boys bound and drowned their families are turned upside-down and three idiot teens take the fall we know the outcomes after all the possible ones, those expected no matter the end, they're dejected the leader was posturing Satan bad effects for being so blatant but this is not just about karma there is impotence in this drama and incompetence to great degree the Razorback powers couldn't see couldn't see the police squelching the evidence the town was belching a bloody man caked in knee-deep mud a once-confessed defective dud other leads were never chased the powers had to end the case so two decades pass and they rot but many supporters never forgot and they came out halfway free and they wanted to live silently still, the trio murdered is still blank and probably always will be, to be frank a puzzle without a solution thanks to the human pollution this is what our race does best stab ourselves right in the chest if these miscarriages still occur our hope vanishes inside of a blur
