Drive Forward

Drive Forward

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

drive forward and
try not to breathe

because even as the
sidewinder sleeps tonite

everybody hurts in some form

from twenty-one grams up to
twenty-one thousand tons

and at some point,

sweetness follows even
if you or your sister
or your best friend
monty got a raw deal

and maybe those happy moments
become inhabitants of ignoreland

and while the button pusher with
the thick Scottish brogue may say
star me kitten instead of that kitten

realize his dreams will run dry
as if the man in the moon will
find the river flowing with water
instead of dust

the balance always zeroes out,
a truth automatic for the people,
all the people

i guess despite the chaos and incongruity in the world 'the balance always zeroes out.' do you perceive things as black and white? it;s true, everyone hurts in some form. it's a given in life. it's sounds pessimistic but it is realistic. congratulations, by the way, on having your book published.

I am always a believer of balance, but in some cases it will zero out. For the fact that some choice, aware or unaware deducts our time and energy on negativity. Life is not all the time happy, or even sad… it is just the way it is… fair or not, good or bad… everything falls into place depending on the value your choices takes. We live for the consequences of the fruit of our labor. We always drive forward, breathing or not breathing…

Its raw and very precise my friend..
Very nice!

Thanks, Pax.
This is a white rapid ride for the reader. Some may pale, some may decline, but the ones who brave your surgical focus, they are the ones rewarded with an experience meant to expand their consciousness.

Thank you, Roarke.
Such a gravity... here, ;) love it! it's so good to read you again... I do not understand seriously why there aren't more quicksilvers (hydrargyrums) struck... ;) I think this is one of your better metaphorical literal pieces, instead of math ones, I think it's awesome. You tell so much with little, and I fully understand your brain, currents..... ;) I was about to post a new quote about somehow this.... strange, it's telephatic.
