Scarlet Shade

Scarlet Shade

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the gun misfired
or dry-fired

the account varies
due to human nature

details embellished,
tragedy relished
by all in the audience

so the story becomes legend,
a tale rear-ended by the craving
of action-reaction,
of adventure and fun

so who fired the gun
and who has the red hands?

so does it even matter?

most people fire,
dry or wet,
real or not

and all hands are red,
by action, inaction or
just plain hue

embellish the tales
to the heart's content

dry-fire and misfire
all the guns until the
tower of Pisa collapses

and worry not about
how the red the hands
can get because
all human hearts
pump the scarlet shade

People taking responsibility in this world is endangered species...
as always your poetry is mind bending and challenges reality.
