One Year LaterA Poem by Kenneth The Poet
one year later,
the cousins play together in a living room looking at the Christian school one year later, the grandmother looks at pictures of how the peanut has grown upward one year later, the father scrapes a cat vomit concoction into paper baking cups one year later, the sisters gab about minor things as the child finds car seat gold one year later, the cousins play fight over a yellow tambourine or something like it one year later, the child crawls and yells and motorboats the mother's chest one year later, the carrot grown for the masses are the party's theme one year later, events on the outside hamper the arrival of other family one year later, the dualism of change remains ever so constant above and below boards one year later, the blue dwelling by the thoroughfare contains the young family one year later, three months behind means nothing to those gathered in her honor one year later, the father forgets that life is really good, some kind of really special life still thrives one year later © 2013 Kenneth The PoetReviews
