quickly until life

those we love,

but the flow stays
constant, solid
until we or
the star dies

"...quietly, / quickly..." is a lovely coupling.

There is a feeling of a guttering flame, here, threatened by the wind. Overhead, though, is the sun. It is constant, solid; but even that is an illusion. For only in our limited time does it have the mask of such eternity. Everything ends.
