It is very easy to comprehend that the central hinterland, itself, is a place of coexistence -- with both shining light and darkness. That fact that the 'rules' of such a life comes from there is almost harking back to Platonic forms. As if, somewhere quite removed, there is a place where ideas themselves populate and spread so that we can learn from them. The souls of tables and of chairs, not quite objects but the template of all objects. And, most of all, the souls of actions and of feeling, which we strive and strain to tap in to so that we can be together.
