WarA Poem by Grace CogginsYou want a war. I don't want to fight. All I want is to be left alone. I've laid my armor down at your feet. I stand before you, waving my white flag while screaming "surrender!", yet you can't seem to hear nor see me. And on goes this war. Maybe if my blood stains your hands, then you'll finally see, that at the end of the day I was just trying to love you. I never wanted to fight you. I didn't have the strength to. I won't hurt you like you hurt me. I refuse to. So, I don't fight back. I never will. © 2017 Grace CogginsReviews
