InsanityA Poem by ChaosInspired by a poetry group.
Whoosh, whoosh the summer breeze tussling my hair to the left and right guiding my head toward the sun. My eyes squinting to protect them from the light Crick, crack goes my lawn chair as my a*s settles in splitting apart the green and red tethered fibers to accommodate my girth which wasn’t there years ago. Scratch, scratch as my watch goes over the oxidized metal handles that are leveled just right as I bring my hand to meet my face to shield my eyes from the sun. Swish, swish as my feet work their way into the sand watching each grain fall gracefully between my toes as if they have a journey of complete autonomy. Crash, crash the water slams harshly onto the shore And then effortlessly returns back to the sea so it may again replenish the ocean with beauty and mystery Knock, knock on the cracked green painted door of my white cotton manicured walls that line my padded cell that systematically, annoyingly, and constantly interrupts my trips to the beach. © 2008 ChaosAuthor's Note
