Gentle BreezeA Poem by ChaosA moment after love
Gentle was the breeze that streamed through the blinds on that crisp September night. Waves of coolness caressing my naked body; my toes, my back and thighs.
How tender that moment was - as I listened to his rhythmic breaths My voice talking, as he listened, relaxing him; causing him to rest.
My words created a path covered with leaves, rocks and dirt. The massive tree in front of me; roots buried deep in the earth.
The leaves being tossed about by the wind like chimes on a string, Each leaf falling to the ground waiting for the cold harsh winter to begin.
I watched them fall for awhile; twisting and turning in the air The sun burned edges of the last remaining leaf just seemed to hang there
The constant battering of the wind caused the leaf to relent Watching it fall to the ground, I was sad for I knew what it meant
The chilled breeze carried me back into his arms like a leaf Gently placing me down with a quite peaceful relief
As I listened to the harmony of his breaths and the wind. My mind felt rested awaiting the new day to begin. © 2008 ChaosAuthor's Note
