Sun Path.

Sun Path.

A Poem by Chaos
"

My day at that beach.

"

Walking one early morn
Captivated by the sea
beaming with life newly born
lost in aqua-green.

Silenced by the magnitude
of her length and width.
Astounded by her fortitude
Her contradictions forthwith

Eyes drifting upward
Amazed by the beauty of the sun,
peeking up to say good morning
Feeling lucky to be the one

Nestled on the beach,
Pants rolled over knees,
Feeling the earth’s oven
Turning up by degrees.

Neptune playing with the sun
Capturing my blue eyes
A light trail leading somewhere
good, I surmised.

Meandering with purpose
Following the orange path,
Waves swaying rhythmically
Dancing on false glass.

Are these the paths
that sailors once used,
to find their way home
when taunted and abused?

The sun was welcoming
and said "go behind"
The excitement was building
Love and awe entwined

Stepping behind

the solar curtain at last
Embracing the moment

Serentity surpassed

Seagulls interrupting

the flow by their sound.
Returning to existence
sorrowed; glancing round

I stand,
brush the sand
back to its home,

Gathering

my belongings
I walk
alone.

Ignore first line capitals. How are the images? The pic was taken at the beach I was writing about and the trail is the same trail that sent my imagination flying. The pic was taken by Christine King of "Keep Smiling" photography.

I see you have a love affair with the sea. Being a retired US Navy man, I can relate. I wasn't born near any oceans, but I came to love them after spending so much time floating on them. Your images are clear and inviting, and I wanted to be there. A great job! Sam
