ProlougeA Chapter by gcam_13It was a beautiful night. While it was a warm day, the air had a soft breeze, and every time it blew the aroma of spring filled the air. Every star seemed to sparkle in the sky and they seemed so close, that if you simply reached out you could grab one. Abigail was starring in awe at the sky above her that she didn't notice the man that had crept to her side until he spoke. "My, my. Look who we have here." To Abigail the voice sounded like a cross between a crow and a parched human. "Little Miss Abigail. If my world knew who I was in the presence of, they would skin me alive." He said this with amusement in his eyes. "Who are you? And what do you mean by your world?" Abby swore she had seen him before but not in the physical sense. It was hard to explain, but she felt like his personality, his being, was familiar. "Don't worry you'll know soon enough. I just came here to prepare you, to warn you, that some big changes are coming and you best be ready for them." He pointed to the dullest star in the sky and Abby felt compelled to look there as well, "when that star becomes the brightest of them all, you will experience a world like no other." "What do you-" Abby turned to look at him, but he was gone. Just like that. And at that same exact moment Abby disappeared as well.© 2014 gcam_13Author's Note
