You've captured some powerful images here - I especially enjoy the last few lines: "Fear, Lonliness, Hopelessness, Whirled away by wicked winds." Though I sometimes don't really believe in "nothing" (even though perception isn't necessarily reality, blahblah), it's an interesting idea to ponder.
Back to the point, though. I think that many of us are more vulnerable to words than any physical beating. It's a shame they're so easy to lose control of. Fantastic write.
Very strong message in this write---as it surfaces some results of the punishment-like cruelty in abusive words to the young while they mature, and to anyone for that matter. I believe that this is a very nice and straight-forward awareness for those who may truly need to read it (and understand it). Thanks for sharing this great write.
