Healing

Healing

A Poem by G. K. Bostic

You wrap wounds of childhood

Bound with gauze of guilt

And hide from their pain.

Yet they fester

Until, having enough,

You pull the ribbon

That looses that box of pain,

And confronting the ugliness,

You dip your soul

Into cleansing truth.

In time

You see the world

And all the stars above

Clearly

As you swing free

From the chains

Of the past.

Nicely crafted. the images...."wounds of childhood"...."gauze of guilt"....."fester"....and on and on with the ribbon, box....lol...guess I can't quote the whole thing. Brilliant use of language....drips with poetic prowess. cheers!

I love the way you sculpt your words with such passion and raw emotion,
this poem is powerful and gripping, expresses the essense of the meaning,
skillful and crafty, I completely enjoted reading it :)
