The BearA Poem by Gabrielle LynA beautiful memoryI see out the window A creature that was not there before So I run to my mother And we both slip out the back door It sits next to a yellow slide Would we be safer inside? I am not in fear The only place I want to be right now is here I bet it uses the whole day to explore That would explain why I don't see it here more I wish I could go closer But I know that would be a mistake That I do not want to make So I'll just keep my distance sitting here on the stairs Wishing I could be over there with the black bear
